Hi,
simply put HDR-PREL.EXE (or HDR-PREL.zip)into your  Quake (registered) directory.
Then unzip it with the -d parameter.

i.e. from your Quake directory:

HDR-PREL -d                         (if you got the self-extract zip file)

or

pkunzip HDR-PREL -d                 (if you got the normal zip file)

Then launch Quake through one of the two batch files
included, it depends on which version of Quake you have (win or normal).
