The feature works by checking if 48 hours have elapsed and if it has then it does not run the next test. That means the time can be greater then 48 hours because the program does not stop a test in the middle but will not run the next test. Note: the 48 hour stop option turns off the stop on error option. Migrated the factory storage test modules to the DOS Server Diagnostics. In the process of updating the storage test modules the old test modules were removed: SCSI.tm, scsi2.tm, disk.tm and the new test modules were added: SCSIoo_a, scsioo_s, scsi_msg, ideoo.tm, ide_msg, atapioo.tm, and atap_msg. Older array cards are no longer tested by Server Diagnositcs but they are still shown in Inspect. Server Diagnostics is currently supporting the following controllers Integrated SA 5i, SA532, SA 5312, SA 5300, SA 4200, SA 4250ES, SA 431, and Integrated SA. (Note: SA=Smart Array) Corrected the display of the product name for the ProLiant DL580G2 in Device List and Inspect. Corrected the DIMM identification for the ProLiant DL580G2 so that the proper DIMM is reported if an error is found. NOTES: IMPORTANT: This is the last version of DOS Server Diagnostics to support new servers. All versions after this version will be for bug fixes and option support only and will only be available as a Softpaq. We will have a new offline diagnostic available with SmartStart 6.0 that will replace this offline diagnostic for new products. Note: On the blade server BL20p it is necessary to run the virtual disk with the read only check box NOT selected. HOW TO USE: 1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number. 2. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. Pressing "Space Bar" to confirm the unpacking of files creates a new directory folder in the download directory. The diskette image file, the image extraction tool, are unpacked into this newly created directory. Run the QRST5.exe program to create a diskette. 3. After the Diagnostic diskette has been created, you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded in step one, as well as the directory folder and files created in step two. 4. Go to the system that you want to run Server Diagnostics on and power down the system. 5. Place the newly created Diagnostics diskette in Drive A:, and power up the system. 6. The system should then boot to Compaq Server Diagnostics. 7. Note: that relative paths (\\dir) do not work with the image extracting program, instead absolute paths must be used (drive letter:\dir or c:\).
