The Easysoft ODBC-ODBC Bridge provides full access to any remote ODBC data source from non-Windows platforms. Features include: [1] Connect to Microsoft SQL Server, Access databases or any other ODBC data source for which you have an ODBC driver from Apache with PHP, Perl DBI:DBD:ODBC, the Python ODBC interface mxODBC or any C program. [2] Link your in-house applications with the ODBC-ODBC Bridge to access remote ODBC data sources. [3] No driver manager is required at the UNIX end although the ODBC-ODBC Bridge will work with iODBC (2.12 and the newer 2.50.xx versions) and the unixODBC driver managers. This is particularly useful as the ODBC-ODBC Bridge contains the ODBC 3.0 and ODBC 2.0 API allowing you to use either even though driver managers like iODBC do not suppoort ODBC 3.0 yet. [4] Add access to remote ODBC data sources from Suse's Linux Office Suite 99. Import data into axdata or Spreadsheets from NT ODBC data sources like SQL Server and Access. [5] Add access to remote ODBC data sources from StarOffice. This version contains licensing code in the Server and you must obtain trial or full licenses using the License Administrator run at the end of the installation. Please see the README contained in the package for further information. Please note that you need to download the ODBC-ODBC Bridge for two platforms unless you intend using the ODBC-ODBC Bridge between platforms which are the same. e.g. to access Microsoft SQL Server data bases from Linux you will need to downloaded the Linux version and the NT version of the ODBC-ODBC Bridge. The ODBC-ODBC Bridge Client and Server must be of the same version number during the beta releases. Screen Cams of the ODBC-ODBC Bridge in action may be found at http://beta.easysoft.com.
